Event details

Bake a loaf of traditional brown soda bread to take home, relax with a tea/coffee/squash and bread tasting, tour our historic building, learn about the history of milling at our talk and experience a demonstration of Ireland's oldest working watermill.

Learn about the history of mills and the tradition of using stone to grind flour, which dates all the way back to our earliest farmers, the builders of Loughcrew and later Newgrange. You will be able to take your freshly baked loaf of brown bread home to enjoy. 

  • Tour length: 2.25 hours
  • Group size: Max 6 with 1 loaf per ticket

Please arrive 15 minutes early for drinks & bread tasting.
